Josh Phillips

Josh was born in Fairfax Virginia but moved to Orlando Fl with his family in 1991, and came to the Bay Area in 2010. He gave his life to Christ at the young age of 5 but his faith was tested and refined through college as he minored in religious philosophy at Yale University, where he also played football and ran track. Josh came on staff with FCA in August 2016 as the East Bay Area Director. He is currently overseeing the ministry at six local high schools and on the Cal Berkeley campus with hopes to grow FCA's impact to the over 90 high school campuses and larger community throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties. His passion for athletics and outreach make FCA a natural fit. Josh currently Coaches football at Granada High School in (Livermore Ca) and has also coached at University of California (Berkeley Ca), University of California (Santa Barbara Ca), Wagner College (Staten Island Ny), Pierce College (Los Angeles Ca) and Santa Monica HS (Santa Monica Ca). Before coaching Josh played professional football for the NFL-Houston Texans, NFLE-Amsterdam Admirals and AFL-Chicago Rush. He was blessed to acquire two masters degrees post bachelors, an MBA from Wagner College and MS in Kinesiology Biomechanics from Cal State Northridge. 

Josh is so thankful for the GRACE God has given; his amazing family & friends. 

He is living day by day according to Proverbs 16:9 "The mind of a man plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps."
