Rigo has been on FCA Staff since September 2006. He was born and raised in Globe, Arizona a small copper mining town known for its Mexican food. His passion for ministry comes from the seeds of faith planted in him as a young boy growing up. His dad played a key role in Rigo’s life telling him about Jesus. Rigo saw his dad’s faith in action as he was instrumental in planting churches, overseeing mission trips and supporting orphanages in Mexico.
Rigo played college baseball at Arizona Western College before transferring to the University of San Francisco where he was an all-conference catcher. He graduated with a Psychology degree and post-graduation, played pro baseball overseas, has worked with at risk youth, and coached college baseball before joining FCA staff.
His role as Metro Director is to provide leadership and support in the South Bay, Peninsula, San Francisco and Marin County. He also serves as a Team Chaplain to the San Francisco Giants.
Rigo and his beautiful wife Vicky were married in October 2010. They have four children, Daisy, R.C., Gio and Toby, and are expecting their fifth in July 2020.
